# When is the Mulligan's 5K Fun Run & Walk? How do I register?
Mulligan's 5K Fun Run & Walk runs Wednesday, October 21, from 6:30 to 8 a.m. at Louisville Slugger Field, and you add it for $40 during Equip registration.
Mulligan's 5K Fun Run & Walk is the fifth-annual race hosted by the TurfMutt Foundation (named after Mutt Mulligan). The race costs $40, which is separate from your Equip badge, so add it when you register for Equip. Please register in advance so your shirt and medal are ready for you.
**What is the schedule?** Check-in and snacks open at 6:30 a.m. At 6:45 a.m. you hear a word from Kris Kiser, President and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, and the sponsors. The 5K starts at 7 a.m.
**What is the route?** The course is 3.1 miles through downtown Louisville. The route crosses the Ohio River on the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge and passes Waterfront Park.
**What do I get?** Your $40 includes a commemorative 5K medal and a unisex long-sleeve race shirt. Healthy snacks, coffee, juice and water are waiting at the finish line.
**Who can take part?** The 5K is open to Equip Exposition registrants and their guests, and to members of the hotel industry. There is no age limit. Dogs cannot take part in the 5K, but the Kentucky Humane Society is bringing puppies to the event.
**How do I get there?** Equip shuttles run Wednesday from 6:15 to 8:30 a.m. to Louisville Slugger Field, picking up at Crowne Plaza, Galt House Hotel, Louisville Marriott Downtown, Omni Hotel and Hyatt. See the [shuttle routes](https://help.equipexposition.com/travel-questions/shuttle-routes). If you drive, you can park in the lot at the corner of E. Witherspoon Street and N. Preston Street. [See the lot on the map](https://maps.app.goo.gl/EWPPG8H76pggjDt5A).
**What should I wear?** Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes and shoes you can run or walk in. October mornings in Louisville can be chilly, so layers are a good idea.
**What if it rains?** Severe weather could affect the event, though it never has in past years. If anything changes, Equip will contact every registered participant directly.
**Where does the money go?** Proceeds benefit the Kentucky Humane Society. Mulligan's 5K is a separate event from Mulligan's Mutt Madness, the dog-adoption event on Thursday, where you can meet some of the dogs your run helps support.
